7.  Chicago Public Library – Altgeld Branch est. 1944.  2020.

8.  United Church of Altgeld Gardens.  (Closed).  Currently ‘By the Hand’ a Club for Kids.

9.  Carver Military Academy High School.  est. 1947.  Current building 2000.

6.  Carver/Phyllis (1753-1784) Wheatley Primary School.  1945.  This part of the school is along 134th St. south of the 133rd Place School of the same name.

14.  Mt. Olive  Missionary Baptist Church. 1945.

Pope Leo’s Boyhood Home in Dolton. 1949. Although not in the Riverdale, Chicago neighborhood, this house is 2 blocks south of St. Mary of the Assumption Church and School, the spiritual home of Pope Leo.

There were no restaurants  in this Community Area.  😦
